Principal's Welcome

At Westorchard, our mission is to cultivate a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. Our three guiding principles - 'Be Kind,' 'Be Open-Minded,' and 'Be Safe' - serve as the foundation of our educational community. In collaboration with faculty, staff, families, and students themselves, we foster a learning community in which all children and adults are seen and valued for who they are while simultaneously being championed to grow into the best versions of themselves. 

Our dedicated and talented teachers provide a rich academic program that leverages students' strengths and interests to expand their learning potential. Students engage in joyful and meaningful learning experiences that develop a sound knowledge of self, others, and the world. This understanding is coupled with foundational academic knowledge and the skills and dispositions to engage in lifelong learning. The rigorous educational experiences students are afforded at Westorchard are a segue toward future academic endeavors and equip our students to carve out their own meaningful paths in life when they move on from our school.

Our school motto, “Go WO. Together We Grow”, originated with our students. It reflects our strong sense of community and commitment to our individual and collective learning and growth. I look forward to supporting every student’s journey of self-discovery and success at Westorchard and beyond.
